A Focus On Expanding the Right to Vote

In recent years, states across the country have passed laws making it harder for some Americans to exercise their fundamental right to vote. Still too often, voting rates in some communities – particularly people of color, young people, the elderly, rural voters, and people with disabilities – lag far behind Colorado’s average, due to long-term, systemic voter disenfranchisement. Our work with the Colorado Civic Engagement Roundtable allows us to support organizations working in under-represented communities on voting writ large – registering new voters, passing pro-voter laws and administrative changes, and protecting the vote. Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy and we are proud to support efforts to bridge this gap.
